The Young Friends Book Club is delighted to welcome author Erika Dreifus as she leads a discussion on her latest book, Quiet Americans. This book of short stories is inspired largely by the experiences and histories of Erika's paternal grandparents, German Jews who immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1930s. Join us after the conversation for a walk through of the Museum’s latest exhibition: Against the Odds: American Jews & the Rescue of Europe's Refugees. Milly Boutique designer and founder, Michelle Smith joined the Young Friends at her flagship store as they shopped and enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres by Prime Butcher Baker. Guests received 10% off all purchases while the Museum of Jewish Heritage received 10% of the evening’s proceeds.

To celebrate Purim, the Young Friends enjoyed a comedy show at the Upper West Side comedy club, Stand Up NY featuring a line-up of all Jewish comedians, including Warren Holstein, Avi Liberman, and the two-time Emmy Award winner, Judy Gold.
Light Up the Night, Young Friends Annual Hanukkah Party

300 guests joined the Young Friends to celebrate the festival of lights at their Annual Hanukkah Party. Attendees enjoyed a fun filled evening complete with a DJ, dancing, full buffet dinner catered by Esprit Events, gift bags, and live band. Sponsors included Manhattan Beer Distributors, Gotham Magazine, Vou-Dre Vodka, Saks Fifth Avenue, KIND Snacks, and more.
