SEPTEMBER

An Evening in Honor of Actor Philip Loeb— A distinguished panel will pay tribute to the late Goldbergs actor on the anniversary of his death on Wednesday, September 1.

In Search of Memory: The Neuroscientist Eric Kandel— The Nobel Prize-winner will screen and discuss a fascinating film about his life on Wednesday, September 15.

A Lucky Child: A Memoir of Surviving Auschwitz as a Young Boy — Author Thomas Buergenthal will talk about his early life and how it informed his dedication to human rights on Sunday, September 19.

Enemies of the People: My Family’s Journey to America — Author Kati  Marton will discuss how she used her investigative skills to find out who her parents really were on Monday, September 20.

Jews and Baseball: An American Love Story — Director Peter Miller and baseball player Adam Greenberg will present and discuss this film on Sunday, September 26.

OCTOBER

Peter Sichel: From Nazi Germany to the CIA — The speaker shares his fascinating life story, from his harrowing escape out of Nazi Germany to his intriguing career as a Cold War-era spy for America on Sunday, October 6.

Fire in My Heart: The New Story of Hannah Senesh— Exhibition curator Dr. Louis D. Levine will give a behind-the-scenes talk about the exhibition on Wednesday, October 13.

The Born Guilty Cycle— The Epic Theatre will present a staged reading of a new adaptation of Ari Roth’s acclaimed work on Sunday, October 17.

No Mere Bagatelles— Handbag designer Judith Leiber and her artist husband Gerson Leiber will discuss their life and careers on Monday, October 18.

Teenage Witness: The Fanya Heller Story— Holocaust survivor Fanya Heller will participate in a Q&A after a screening of the moving documentary about her life on Wednesday, October 20.

The Bookseller’s Sonnets— Author Andi Rosenthal will discuss her debut novel on Sunday, October 24 at 1 p.m.

Shabbat Shaboom with Mama Doni— The popular children’s band will play songs from their latest album on Sunday, October 24 at 2:30 p.m. Ticket holders are also invited to partake in arts and crafts from 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Mah Jongg as Muse— Designer Abbot Miller and curator Melissa Martens will talk about how the game continues to inspire art, fashion, and design with New York Magazine design editor Wendy Goodman on Wednesday, October 27.
