The Museum’s annual Spring Women’s Luncheon is held every spring at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. But this year, like so much else in 2020, the usual event had to change due to COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings.
Originally scheduled to meet in person in March, the event was postponed to September and became a virtual program. The centerpiece was Vanity Fair Writer at Large Marie Brenner’s interview of Dr. Irene Butter, a Holocaust survivor from Berlin who survived two concentration camps.
Though we greatly missed being together in person, the virtual event was our most successful Spring Women’s Luncheon fundraiser of all time, raising more than $256,000 for the Museum.
We are grateful for the hard work of the Luncheon Committee Co-Chairs Patti Kenner, Kathy Gantz, Ann Oster, Stacey Saiontz, and Minna Seitelman, and we are delighted to share the program with you below.
