Become a member today and gain registration access to a special program and live Q&A with Holocaust survivor Bronia Brandman as she shares her remarkable story.
Bronia Brandman was born into a family of six children in Jaworzno, Poland, and was just eight years old when World War II began. Ms. Brandman will share the history of what happened to her family, how she narrowly escaped the gas chambers, survived a forced death march to Germany, and was later liberated by the American and Russian armies in May 1945.
For years following the war, Ms. Brandman was unable to speak about her experiences until a fellow Gallery Educator at the Museum urged her to tell her story in the mid-1990s. Now, her mission is to educate the public about the lessons of the past.
