At 20 years old, Ada Feingold (nee Kolodzanski) went into hiding with a Christian family in Warsaw, Poland. It was January 1943. Because of this, a few months later she witnessed the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising from outside of the ghetto.

Ada survived World War II and in 1989, recorded testimony with interviewer Viola Wdowinsky as part of the Yaffa Eliach Collection donated by the Center for Holocaust Studies, now part of the Museum of Heritage Collection. An excerpt of Ada’s eyewitness account of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising is in the video below. The introductory music is from “Zog Nit Keymol (Never Say),” often referred to as The Partisan Song.
