Families are invited to unique meditative experience focused on the Museum’s newest exhibition Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark. Jewish mindfulness educator Yael Shy will lead attendees in craft projects focused on the emotions they felt as they went through the exhibition along with guided meditations that help attendees to feel courage even in the face of fear.
There will be two 30-minute sessions with one beginning at 11:00 AM and one beginning at 11:30 AM. Please sign up for the session you will be attending.
Yael Shy, Esq. is the Founder and CEO of Mindfulness Consulting, is a Jewish Mindfulness Educator with 15-year track record of developing transformative workshops and trainings in Jewish communal settings worldwide. She is the former Senior Director of NYU’s Global Spiritual Life Center and the founder of Mindful NYU – the largest campus-based mindfulness initiative in the country. Yael is the author of the award-winning book, What Now? Meditation for Your Twenties and Beyond (Parallax, 2017) and an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. She has served as the Chief Mindfulness Consultant at Procter and Gamble and consults regularly for Columbia Law School and New York University. Yael has been featured in Time Magazine and the Harvard Business Review and on Good Morning America and CBS News. She lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with her two young sons, Zusha (7) and Moses (5).
