The Museum of Jewish Heritage welcomes adult, corporate, college, and senior groups to book a tour with us and explore our Museum’s collection.

Museum Visits for adults and seniors are only available after 12:00PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Please note that self-guided tours are only available for groups of 45 people or less.

What Hate Can Do (In-Person)

The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do explores the impact of World War II and the Nazi genocide on Jewish lives and communities in Europe. Through close examination of the Museum’s artifacts and in discussion with a Museum educator, participants will explore issues of cultural identity, responsibility to community, and decision-making, as well as ways in which individuals and nations responded, or failed to respond, to the crisis.

Courage to Act

Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark tells the inspiring story of ordinary people uniting against Nazism to save nearly 95% of Denmark’s Jewish population, featuring the story of the Gerda III, one of many small boats used in the escape and rescue. Students will encounter themes of separation, bravery, and resilience that will help them reflect on the dangers of prejudice—as well as their own potential for compassionate, moral, and courageous action.

Visits to Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark are 1 hour.

Group Fees

  • Membership benefits and other passes are not valid for group admission.
  • Organizations with limited resources may qualify for significantly reduced rates or fee waivers. Please ask for details when you request a reservation.
  • Fees for group tours must be paid at least two weeks prior to the visit date.

Frequently Asked Questions

As we prepare for the number of people you initially request for, once the date has been settled, we will be unable to increase the number of guests. As such, please be sure to request for the maximum number of people you expect to be in your group.

The Museum is happy to work with you! When filling out the Tour Request Form, please estimate your expected attendance. We can accommodate changes up to four weeks prior to your visit, and on a case-by-case basis afterward.

Due to the number of groups scheduled throughout the day, we ask that you arrive at your scheduled time. Your group is more than welcome to explore the rest of the Museum after your scheduled visit.

If members of your group are arriving individually, please let them know that they should plan to arrive before your scheduled tour or all in one group. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee full-length tours that are delayed due to waiting for participants. While waiting, they are welcome to go into our onsite café, LOX, on the second floor, but should plan to be downstairs at the designated tour time.

Please be advised that the Museum cannot provide parking for buses or large vans. As such, we advise that you research parking spaces in advance. Buses and large vans will only be able to remain in front of the Museum if there is space and if the driver remains with the vehicle at all times. NYPD may ask the vehicle to move at any time.

The Museum has elevators within the center of our core exhibit and in the lobby. We also have wheelchairs if needed, however these are limited in supply. For more information on our accessibility please look at our accessibility page.

While the Museum does host LOX at Café Bergson, we cannot guarantee that there will be space for groups larger than 20 due to limited space. space for groups larger than 20 due to limited space.
