Museums tell stories through artifacts. Our family histories are also revealed in material culture. If you did not have a chance to tell your story at our May 10 workshop, we hope you will bring your own family heirloom to this workshop. It can be a photograph, a ritual object, a piece of jewelry, a travel document, a kitchen item, a musical instrument – or anything that is connected to your heritage. Come ready to share its story as we closely examine your artifacts. After we share our stories, we will examine artifacts in the Museum’s Core Exhibition that illustrate the Jewish experience in the U.S. This program will be interpreted by certified ASL interpreters. Due to space constraints, we are unable to invite sign language students to participate.
Reception at 6pm, Program at 6:30pm
