Bestselling author Helen Fremont (After Long Silence) writes of growing up with parents who pretended to be Catholics but were really Jewish survivors of Nazi-occupied Poland in her new memoir The Escape Artist.

Fremont discussed her father’s deportation from Poland to Siberia, and detailed his daring escape, in the virtual book talk hosted by the Museum. Watch the short clip below, and the complete book talk here.
