Purim starts at sundown tonight, and along with the holiday comes the premiere of The Megillah in Yiddish, a simkhe (celebration) in honor of Purim hosted by Matthew “Motl” Didner.

As part of the program, a co-production of the Museum and National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, the Museum’s Senior Public Programs Producer Ari Goldstein presents historic artifacts from the Museum’s collection illustrating Purim and its role in 20th century European Jewish communities.
