Historian and photographer Elżbieta Janicka investigates Polish participation in the murder of Jews set up by the German Nazi state, as well as Polish counter-narratives about the Holocaust and Jewish history.
Janicka was at the Museum on January 12, in conversation with YIVO Director Jonathan Brent. She discussed her work and research into Poland’s history, Polish nature, and what is contained in the land itself.
