Can humor be a weapon? If yes, is it effective? Based on Yiddish jokes and anecdotes recorded between 1943 and 1945, the Museum offered an interactive lecture/seminar by University of Toronto Professor of Yiddish Studies Anna Shternshis on what Soviet Jews found funny and why, as they lived through the darkest period of modern Jewish history in Europe.
