People sometimes forget that the Nazis came to power in Germany through a democratic process. We know today that elections can determine history. Join us and Professor John Q. Barrett, of St. John’s University, as we study the role that elections played in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. Afterwards, Brian Carlin, Director of Social Studies Curriculum and Instruction for the NYCDOE, will explore educational resources about contemporary elections that we can share with our students.

Participants will be eligible to receive up to three hours of CTLE credit.
