Families are invited to a unique visual and auditory experience, inspired by the Museum of Jewish Heritage’s new exhibit Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark. Ukrainian-Jewish sand artist and singer Zhenya Lopatnik will take families on a breathtaking visual journey, sharing the story of how Denmark saved around 7,500 Jewish people during the Holocaust. The mesmerizing shadow-and-light show will bring children and adults to another dimension, where one picture transforms into another. Accompanied by a performance of Jewish niggunim (wordless melodies), attendees can sing and hum along as they follow the characters’ development as the story moves.  Afterwards, kids will have a chance to create sand-art pieces and play with shadow and light.
