Archivist and Curator Bonnie Gurewitsch lectures about Jewish Resistance, followed by a Holocaust survivor sharing testimony.
Lunch is provided to all participants (dietary laws observed).
Then teachers have the option of selecting one afternoon session of their choice, including Tactics of Resistance, presented by the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation; Resources for Teaching About the Holocaust, presented by staff from the Museum and the Brooklyn Public Library; or tours of the galleries (guided or self-guided).
Teachers receive educational materials provided by the Museum, as well as the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation’s Educator Toolkit.
Free – Pre-Registration Required by June 1
This conference is open only to active classroom teachers.
We acknowledge in appreciation the Jewish Conference of Material Claims Against Germany for supporting educational programs at the Museum. Through recovering the assets of the victims of the Holocaust the Claims Conference enables organizations around the world to provide education about the Shoah and to preserve the memory of those who perished.
