Letters from Anne and Martin is Anne Frank Center USA’s theatrical production that entwines the iconic words of Anne Frank and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This unique adaptation examines their experiences living in the shadow of hatred and prejudice and their determination to hold onto their hopes for a fair and just world in different decades, on different sides of the globe, but within the same generation.
This performance is recommended for audiences aged 13 and up. The performance contains the sound of gunshots, scenes of suspense and danger, and racially charged language. Viewer discretion is advised.
Olivia Konteatis (Anne) was born and raised in New Jersey, the proud first-generation American daughter of an Irish mother and a father from Cyprus. She is now based in New Jersey, just outside New York City, after studying Drama at NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway. Olivia aspires to tell the stories of strong women through the perspective she’s gained from her multicultural and international background. She is dedicated to performance art that makes audiences look in the mirror and question their own perspectives. Recent credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar, The Seagull, I Want A Country (NY Fringe Festival). Film: This is the Day. Olivia is a Co-Founder of the theater company A Very Good Theater Company. Olivia and her mother formed the group Songbird Lineage and their first album “It Runs In The Family” is out on all streaming platforms.
Andrew Tejada (Martin) is a Brooklyn based writer and actor. After graduating from SUNY Oneonta in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and a Minor in Journalism, he returned to New York City in 2015 full time to use what he learned in a variety of Community and Professional productions. His most recent acting credits include Antigonus in Winter’s Tale, Con in an adaptation of Chekhov’s The Seagull, and a variety of voiceover work. As a writer, a few of Andrew’s favorite original works include “The Shot’s that Shook Siddiq’s” and “The Millennial Play Reading Series” Andrew is committed to working on projects that entertain, inform, and show audiences new perspectives.
