Live from Edmond J. Safra Hall™: Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars

Sir Frank London, Grammy Award winner, founder and member of The Klezmatics, is known for creating spectacular extravaganzas celebrating Jewish life and Yiddish culture, always through a multi-cultural lens. Some of New York’s finest klezmer musicians, the Klezmer Brass Allstars have toured internationally, recorded 5 cds, and collaborated with everyone from Serbian Roma superstar Boban Marcovic to Brazilian Carnaval party-makers Maracatú New York.

For this special concert event, Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars are joined by Yiddish singer/actor Eleanor Reissa and Punjabi percussion virtuoso Deep Singh. They will feature songs of love, protest, celebration, political commentary, Holocaust and liberation; from their collaborations Vilde mekhaye – Wild Ecstacy, and Mir geyen nisht tsurik / No Looking Back.

Frank was knighted for his work celebrating multi-cultural Jewish music and honoring those killed in the Holocaust in Hungary.

This virtual concert program has a suggested donation of $20. We are accepting donations on a sliding scale from $1 to $40 – no contribution is too small. We thank you for your support.
