The Beary Brothers is a supergroup of three vagabond musicians from the former Soviet Union. Psoy Korolenko, one of Russia’s leading contemporary bards, is joined by the spellbinding multi-instrumentalists Zisl Slepovitch (Litvakus/Folksbiene) and Ilya Shneyveys (Forshpil). As The Beary Brothers, this eclectic progressive folk trio explores a diverse range of cultures, languages, musical styles from the Renaissance through modernity, and geographies from Andalusia to the Russian steppe. This concert also features Dmitry Ishchenko on the bass and Yana Davydova on the guitar, and special guest artist Dinah Slepovitch.

Join the Museum and the Center for Traditional Music and Dance for a livestream of this concert, which will be performed in the Museum’s Edmond J. Safra Hall.

This program is co-presented by the JetLAG Festival and Yiddish New York and sponsored in part through the Battery Park City Authority community partnership.
