(2018, 70 minutes, DVD, English) Join JewishGen for a screening of My Dear Children, a new documentary that explores the history of anti-Jewish massacres in Eastern Europe following WWI through one family’s quest to unravel the mystery of their ancestors. Told through the firsthand account of Feiga Shamis—a mother of 12 who was desperate to keep her children safe in a horrific time—the film offers a window onto the ways in which genealogy can unlock world history.

After the film, director Co-Producer/Director LeeAnn Dance will speak about this incredible project.

JewishGen, a member of the Museum of Jewish Heritage family, is the largest digital repository for Jewish family history information in the world—with more than 25 million records. It has an online community of nearly one million users and has been responsible for countless family reunions.
