(55 mins., Hebrew with English subtitles) Many prisoners of Auschwitz and its sub-camps were tattooed with numbers, as ordered by the Nazis. Numbered documents the dark time and setting during which these tattoos were assigned, as well as the meaning they took on in the years following the war.
This screening will be followed by a discussion with Hasia Diner, Paul And Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History, Professor of Hebrew, and Interim Director of Glucksman Ireland House at New York University.
