Join us for a 30-minute premiere performance of the play Preparation’s Aftermath: Scenes of Service followed by a conversation with The In[Heir]itance Project, artists, and community members who helped create it.
The In[HEIR]itance Project is a national arts organization that collaborates with communities using a unique methodology of collective art-making. Personal experiences of soldiers, veterans, survivors, liberators, descendants, MJH staff and educators, and MJH community members are used in relationship with ‘sacred’ texts to instigate engagement around challenging civic conversations. Preparation’s Aftermath is based on an archive of GI testimonials from WWII, particularly around the experiences of training for, experiencing, and dealing with the trauma of service in and around the Holocaust.
