At our monthly Stories Survive Speaker Series, hear Holocaust survivors share their life stories in their own words.

On December 1, Rabbi Jacob Jungreis will share his experiences.

Rabbi Jacob Jungreis was born in Derecske, Hungary. He and his family and about 1500 other Jews were chosen by Jewish activist Reszo Kasztner to be spared for exchange for money and valuables. In June 1944 they were sent to Bergen Belsen. In August and December 1944, the Kasztner group was sent to Switzerland. This December marks the 75th anniversary of journey of the Kasztner train.
