Ann Preis Green grew up outside of Vienna, Austria. She and her parents were imprisoned in concentration camps during WWII.
Her parents and brother were all killed, but she was luckily liberated from Auschwitz-Birkenau, and immigrated to America.
Ann lived an incredibly full life, always looked on the bright side of things, and was the matriarch of a family of three children (who she raised in Queens), seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, all of whom she called her “greatest revenge.”
Sadly, she passed away in her home at 95 from natural causes on October 30, 2020. Her loss was immense. Over 200 people attended her virtual memorial and shiva, which was a strange blessing during these times.
