Jordan Auslander
Jordan Auslander is a New York-based forensic genealogist, title, and real estate historian, who has pursued cases across the United States, The Caribbean, Europe, and Israel. He published an index to Jewish records in Slovak Archives, and a Genealogical Gazetteer of Greater Hungary. He is a former board member of Jewish Genealogical Society of New York.
Scott Kalmikoff
Rabbi Scott Kalmikoff received a BA in Jewish Studies from Yeshiva University and studied at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. Scott currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement at the Riverdale Y. He also started his own business, Genealogy with Rabbi Scott, conducting genealogical research for private clients and facilitating Jewish genealogy workshops.
Joy Kestenbaum
Joy Kestenbaum, a professional genealogist and historical research consultant, has been the Vice President of Programming of the Jewish Genealogical Society of New York since 2015. She has lectured on family history, Jewish artists and architects, and synagogue architecture at conferences in the United States, England, and Germany, as well as for local organizations, and was a Bernard and Audre Rapaport Fellow at the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati. She has researched her extended family in the United States, Canada, England, Argentina and Palestine/Israel, in addition to her roots in Galicia and the Grodno/Bialystok region, and created the JewishGen KehilaLinks web pages on Narewka and Krzywcza, both now in Poland.
Caitlin Hollander Waas
Caitlin Hollander is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, and the Jewish Genealogical Society of New York, among others, and also works as a forensic genealogist specializing in high value estate cases in New York, Queens, Kings, and Nassau Counties. In addition, her citizenship reclamation work has been featured in Family Tree Magazine, The Times of Israel, and the South Florida Sun Sentinel, among other publications.
Alex Calzareth
Alex Calzareth is a genealogist focusing on Southwest Germany, the Czech Republic and Southern Italy who began researching his family roots twenty-five years ago. He is a board member for Reclaim The Records and the Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island. Alex is also Director of the JewishGen German Research Division.
Karen Franklin
Karen Franklin is the Consulting Director of the Peter and Amy Kalikow Jewish Genealogy Center. She is also the director of family research at the Leo Baeck Institute, chair of the Memorial Museums Committee of ICOM (the International Council of Museums) and president of the Obermayer German Jewish History Awards. She is a former Co-chair of the Board of Governors of JewishGen, a past president of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, and has been an active leader, lecturer, and author in the field of museums, genealogy and looted art.
