The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is alarmed and heartbroken by the antisemitic attack on Jews attending synagogue in Halle, Germany on Yom Kippur, the most sacred day on the Jewish calendar. No Jew – from Halle to Pittsburgh and beyond – should encounter such visceral hatred anywhere.
This abhorrent act is one of many that comprises the increase in antisemitic incidents in the United States and Europe. It is against this rising tide that we recommit ourselves to our mission to educate people of all ages on the dangers of intolerance.
