Sundown on Monday, April 20 marks the beginning of Yom HaShoah / Holocaust Remembrance Day, which continues until sundown on April 21. Yom HaShoah is observed on the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and commemorates the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. To honor this event and help you bring age-appropriate content to your students, we are offering two online learning opportunities, one for teachers on April 20 and one for students on April 21.

The student lesson will correspond to the professional learning opportunity for teachers on Monday, April 20. In this lesson, students will examine artifacts to learn about the experiences of children during the Holocaust. (You may also register your students and share the Zoom link with them.)
